Shorewood is at the end of a dirt road and has a good number of seasonal RV'ers so while the slots were almost full, only a dozen or so families appeared to be there this weekend. At the end of the cove, its a bit of an idle to the main channel but not unbearable.
We had a great weekend and will be going back!
Bathroom is only room with a door so don't expect tons of privacy. Maybe bring spring rods and sheets? Who cares, you're only sleeping and eating there right? Change in the bathroom.
Stayed in the deluxe cabin which will sleep eight. It's right across from the pool and playground and 100 yards from the boat ramp and dock. Clean and well kept. There is a queen bed, futon, and two twin bunk beds. Cold A/C which was nice given the weather this weekend.
I've stayed here a few times with family and friends. We've enjoyed ourselves everytime we visited. The owners & staff are always friendly and helpful and the regulars are friendly too. The pool, bathhouse, laundry room & dock are maintained well. Rates are resonable. Wished they had more season sites available. I will continue visiting Shorewood Landing.
It was quiet in the evening and several families were outside sitting around camp fores.
One of the Nicest places to RV camp on the water! With the pool, the beach access to the Lake, a dock to jump off of, a nice quiet cove, boat slips to rent, and a public shower house that is so clean you could eat off the floor. Gayle (owner) might possibly be one of The nicest park owners I've encountered in years.
Boat ramp is hard packed rock but good. Docks accommodate most boats normal people can afford.
Owners were exceptionally nice and were frequently seen around the park.
Campsites are extremely small and close together. All rock and no grass. The seasonal campers have all the nice spots as seen on the website. The location is nice on the lake however too many negatives. We will not be back!
The people who run this place are actually very nice and helpful. The road getting good down into the grounds was scary. I wasn't really happy with the spots to park a camper...very close and congested. Not much room to maneuver at all!! There really isn't a dock or a place to unload a boat or jet skis, you just kind of have to back into the water into the mud & water, so not a big fan of that. Pool was small bit nice & clean as we're the bathrooms. Just not the greatest place for a larger camper or putting a boat or jet skis into the lake.
