My daughter had just moved to Eldon. Her primary care physician is all the way up in Jefferson city. She was very ill with what was later diagnosed as acute bronchitis. She was hoping someone at this clinic could see her so she wouldn't have to drive so far being so sick. The woman she spoke to on the phone was downright mean. How dare she call and try to make an appointment with them when she didn't have a primary care physician there! She rudely told my daughter "we don't have time for this today!". THIS? My asthmatic daughter with acute bronchitis? I can understand them not having any open appointments, but no suggestions? no help? no compassion. I am going to file a complaint with Lake Regional Healthcare. Whatever is at the front desk making appointments needs to be replaced with a human being.

this place sucks

I found my visit to the Lake Regional Clinic in Eldon very disappointing. I just moved to the area and expected to find a professional and friendly atmosphere like the medical center I had been a patient of at our last home. What I found instead was an over crowded clinic that seemed to care nothing for individual patients or punctuality. My 13 mo. old son and I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room for his wellness visit before even being brought to the room to wait for the doctor. The doctor’s office had a bucket of very filthy toys that clearly were never or infrequently cleaned. The practice for administering shots to a very young child was horrible. Our last doctor’s office had me hold my baby on my lap while giving shots as quickly and un traumatically as possible. This clinic had me lay my child across the table holding his arms down while the nurse pinned his legs down and between her body and the table. He was screaming in fear before even getting the shots.

Good doctors but customer service is a joke.

Enjoy being on hold for 30min+ and 1-2 hour wait times once you arrive.

Edit: Since the new wing got built much quicker answering service and wait times not nearly as long.

Upon leaving the clinic I expected a receptionist to check me out, pull up records on when my boy needed his next wellness visit and schedule the appointment as was the custom in our last center. Instead, no one was even in the reception area. The one desk worker for the whole clinic had shut down our half of the building and moved across to the another doctor’s window where she was waiting on lines of other people. I gave up on scheduling a new appointment and just left.

The only reason I gave this clinic two stars instead of one is because the doctor herself was actually wonderful. She was very caring and professional. I think she would do exceptionally well if she started her own office somewhere rather than working in that ill managed mess.
